Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern access to and use of St. Louis County Released Inmates. By visiting, browsing, or using any feature, you agree to follow these terms. They apply to the information published here, links to public agencies, and any outside search service reached through the site. If you do not accept every condition, do not use the site. Continued use after revised terms are posted means that you accept the updated version.

St. Louis County Released Inmates is privately owned and has no affiliation with St. Louis County government, the Department of Justice Services, any sheriff, jail, police agency, court, or corrections department. Neither the site nor its advertising partners offers credit, employment, insurance, tenant-screening, or other services covered by the Fair Credit Reporting Act. The site helps visitors locate inmate, release, and jail-record resources for St. Louis County, Missouri. It is not a private investigation firm or a consumer reporting agency.

Nature of This Resource

This is a private reference site. It is not part of the St. Louis County Department of Justice Services, the Missouri Department of Corrections, the 21st Judicial Circuit, a municipal police department, or any federal agency. No official jail, court, parole, probation, or release record is stored here. Site operators cannot confirm a person’s current custody status, order or carry out a release, change a court file, or submit a government document on a visitor’s behalf.

Content directs visitors toward public record custodians, official locators, and agencies that may hold relevant records. It can also connect a visitor with outside research tools. Access to Missouri government records remains controlled by the agency that created or holds them and by applicable law, including Missouri Chapter 610. A link or description does not grant access to a closed record.

Acceptable Use Rules

Use must be lawful, respectful, and consistent with the limited records-reference purpose of the site. By using it, you agree that you will not:

  • Break any local, Missouri, federal, or other applicable law.
  • Use information to stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm another person.
  • Make hiring, housing, lending, insurance, or similar eligibility decisions from site content.
  • Try to enter accounts, systems, data, or restricted areas without authorization.
  • Run automated bots, crawlers, scrapers, or bulk collection tools against the site.
  • Interfere with performance, security, availability, or another visitor’s access.

No Consumer Reports

St. Louis County Released Inmates is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It does not provide consumer reports, credit reports, or background checks. Its advertising partners do not provide screening services through this site. You agree not to use site content or information reached through its tools for any purpose regulated by the FCRA, including:

  • Decisions about hiring, firing, promotion, or other employment matters.
  • Tenant selection, housing access, leases, or occupancy decisions.
  • Creditworthiness, lending terms, collections decisions, or insurance premiums.
  • Licensing, permits, benefits, or government-program eligibility.
  • Any other decision or use governed by the FCRA.

Links Beyond the Site

Links may lead to county release-record offices, Missouri courts and corrections systems, federal locators, legal-aid resources, or outside search providers. A link is offered for convenience and does not amount to endorsement. We do not operate those services and cannot control their content, accuracy, security, privacy practices, data handling, fees, or availability. Review the terms and policies of each destination before using it or submitting information.

Information Provided As Is

The site and all of its content are supplied “as is” and “as available,” without express or implied warranties. No promise or guarantee is made concerning:

  • The accuracy, completeness, context, or current status of information.
  • Continuous, timely, or uninterrupted access to the site.
  • Freedom from mistakes, software defects, harmful code, or security weaknesses.
  • The scope, quality, or completeness of results from an outside search provider.

Custody, release, court, and supervision records can change quickly. Nothing published here is an official statement by Justice Services, a sheriff, police department, court, MODOC, or another government office. Confirm all material facts with the agency that maintains the original record.

Limits on Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, St. Louis County Released Inmates and its owners, operators, contributors, and partners are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss arising from access to, reliance on, inability to use, or use of the site or any linked service. This limitation applies even when the possibility of loss was known.

Your Duty to Indemnify

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless St. Louis County Released Inmates and its owners, operators, contributors, and partners from claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, that result from your use of the site, your misuse of information, your violation of these terms, or your infringement of another person’s rights.

Unless written permission is given, you may not copy, republish, distribute, sell, modify, or create derivative works from protected site materials.

Revisions to These Terms

These terms may be revised at any time. A new version becomes effective when it is posted here. You are responsible for reviewing the current terms before continued use. No separate notice of a change is required unless applicable law says otherwise.

Access May Be Revoked

Access to all or part of the site may be limited, suspended, or blocked at any time, for any reason, and without advance notice. Ending access does not remove obligations that by their nature continue, including acceptable-use, intellectual-property, indemnity, and liability provisions.

Missouri Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute concerning the site or these terms must be brought in a court with proper jurisdiction in Missouri, subject to any controlling law that requires a different forum.
